Warranty and Servicing

1. All new Janus watches purchased from the Janus official website (janusrelos.com) benefit from this International Warranty.

2. This International Warranty is a commercial manufacturer’s warranty granted by Janus Relos (1900B, Acacia Street, Capitol Site, Cebu City, Cebu 6000, Philippines; email: support@janusrelos.com; phone number: +63 917 578 0518) that does not affect or limit other rights you may have under applicable mandatory law.

3. The Janus International Warranty applies to watches purchased under warranty in any country.

Warranty Disclaimers:

Any third-party individuals offering to modify your Janus watches, for instance by setting the case and/or dial with precious stones or by replacing the existing case with poorly made sapphire cases. Any intervention or service performed outside our network will completely void the warranty.

Disassembling the bezel or even the dial will cause irreversible damage to the movement, its reliability and the water resistance of your watch if conducted by a non-authorised watchmaker. Specific water-resistance checks are required in order to guarantee the durability of the watch.

Warranty Policy

4. Warranty Period: except where a different warranty period is required by the laws of the country where you have purchased your Janus watch, your Janus watch is warranted against any manufacturing defect for a period of two (2) years from the date of its initial purchase by a customer from an Janus Boutique or an Janus Authorized Dealer (the “Warranty Period”), subject to the conditions set forth below.

5. Warranty: if your watch is returned during the Warranty Period, any component found by our technical services to be defective as a result of a manufacturing defect will be repaired free of charge. Upon expiration of the Warranty Period, the cost of any parts, labour or repair services will be charged to the customer, unless they are expressly covered by an Janus service warranty with respect to repairs and other maintenance services.

6. Exclusions: your Janus International Warranty does not cover: a. defects and damages resulting from misuse or negligence, from accident or improper use (e.g. nicks, dents, damage to the case/crystal/bracelet/strap) or from contact with corrosive substances (e.g. acid, liquid metal, etc.); b. defects and damages caused by unauthorized alterations, modifications or repairs, as well as services and work performed by anyone other than a Janus Boutique, a Janus Authorized Dealer or a Janus Authorized Service Center, or caused by the use of components and/or accessories other than genuine Janus components/accessories; c. routine maintenance and cleaning, as well as the consequences of normal wear and tear and aging of the watch; d. defects resulting from contact with water, if your watch is not water-resistant as indicated on the pictogram related to your watch on www.janusrelos.com, or if your watch is water-resistant, it did not undergo the water-resistance tests required by Janus each time the case was opened for any reason (including, for instance, replacement of a battery); and e. not fully genuine Janus watches and components.

7. How to make a claim: in order to benefit from your Janus International Warranty, you will be required to deliver your watch to an Janus Boutique, Janus Authorized Dealer or Janus Authorized Service Center, together with the Janus International Warranty Card received with your watch. You are therefore required to retain your International Warranty Card with due care.

8 Claim expenses: under this International Warranty, you are responsible for shipping costs of your watch, including, but not limited to, postage, insurance and packing materials. We recommend that any such shipment require acknowledgment of receipt and be insured.
